NEW YORK: MIDAS AWARDS GRAND PRIX + 2 GOLD !!





Absa Capital - The Power of 3 / Integrated campaign.
A unique philosophy was created to relaunch the ABSA Capital brand in South Africa. We named it "The Power of 3." The philosophy features the three intellectual components of investing that ABSA Capital offers to their high end customers. To house this philosophy, 100 limited edition manifestos were developed and dispersed amongst the top 100 business people in country. Termed "The Cubism Manifesto" each edition contained 99 pages of design, typography, illustration and photography that delivered the Power of 3 philosophy to those individuals who could best benefit from ABSA Capital's unique investment knowhow. The end result? ABSA Capital's profits rose 51%.

HOTEL DE VILLE INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN









Integrated corporate identity campaign i developed for Hotel De Ville.

Hotel De Ville is a 'boutique' post-production company. They offer a facility that treats each project with the utmost care and dedication, regardless of budget or brand, thus providing their clients with the finest product one can possibly deliver. 

The company's identity is inspired by the magical city of Paris -- home to many of the world's superior craftsmen and spectacular creations. Since the company is in the business of story telling, we decided to create our own story - a combination of fact and fantasy - to embody what it represents. The introduction to the story begins on the letterhead and the journey unfolds on other elements in the identity.

D&AD INBOOK AWARD FOR BOOK DESIGN!





After first winning the Midas Awards Grand Prix and 2 Gold Ingot awards, I'm very proud to announce that I've also won a D&AD Inbook award. The award is for the book design of the Absa Capital "The Cubism Manifesto. Next to the limited edition physical book, we also designed an interactive digital version of it.

MY COKE CAN DESIGNS FOR THE FIFA CONFEDERATIONS CUP 2009







This is one of those briefs you hope they'll drop on your desk someday... "Design the official new Coca Cola cans for the FIFA Confederations Cup. We need a design for each of the Confederations Cup teams i.e. South Africa, Egypt, Spain, USA, Italy, Iraq, New Zealand and Brazil. We're going to make millions of them and they will be available all over Africa so better make 'em nice :-)" No pressure... These are the final designs.

CD SLEEVE DESIGN FOR SOUTH AFRICAN RnB STAR: LEANNE






CD Sleeve artwork I designed for our Brand Ambassador client at The Sovereign State. They represent and do the artist management for South African RnB Star LeAnne. They asked us to develop the artwork for her new album "The Journey". This included logo design, Graphic Design, Art Direction, Creative Direction and Typography.

Next to the CD Sleeve artwork, we also developed the concept for the official CD launch party and we conceptualised 2 music video's.

LONMIN PLATINUM MINING BOOKLET DESIGN

Concept, Art Direction and design for Lonmin Platinum Mining booklet. The booklet was specifically designed as a once off copy for a presentation from Lonmin to Tiffany & Co in New York. The brochure was presented in a wooden box with velvet upholstery on the inside. I used classic sophisticated typography combined with modern photography and illustrations to create a fresh contemporary look and feel which still carried the heritage of the Lonmin Platinum Mining brand.
